This basket is designed for universal mounting to standard roof rack crossbars. If your crossbars are spaced 24–28 inches apart, you're good to go. Unusual rack spacing may require adapters not included here — measure your setup first.
Do I need to do anything to prevent rust on the aluminum?
Aluminum naturally resists rust, so there's no prep work needed. The open-mesh design means water won't pool inside. If you want extra protection in harsh coastal or winter conditions, a clear coat works fine but isn't required.
What hardware do I need to mount this to my roof rack?
Mounting hardware is not included with the basket. You'll need to identify your roof rack attachment points and source the appropriate U-bolts or clamps to fit your crossbar diameter — typically 1.25" to 1.75". Check your roof rack manual for the correct size.
