Do I need new gaskets to install this header?
Yes. Plan to source fresh header gaskets — they're not included and reusing old ones will lead to leaks. Grab new ones before you pull the old header.
Will this header fit with my stock exhaust manifold gasket?
No. Stock gaskets won't seal properly on a new header. Use a new gasket set rated for stainless headers to avoid exhaust leaks and heat damage.
Should I have this ceramic coated or painted before installation?
Stainless steel resists corrosion on its own, so coating is optional. If you want interior heat reduction or a finished look under the hood, ceramic coating or high-temp paint can be applied — just make sure the header cools fully before any prep work.
