Yes. Whenever you open the AC circuit, refrigerant escapes. You'll need to have the system evacuated, flushed, and recharged by someone with the proper recovery equipment — this isn't a DIY task.
What fasteners or brackets do I need to mount this?
Mounting hardware is not included with this condenser. You'll reuse the brackets, bolts, and clips from your original unit during swap-out. Inspect them for wear before reassembly.
Will this fit if my original condenser is damaged or leaking?
