Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the cabin air filter located on a Crosstrek?

It's mounted behind the glove box. You'll need to drop the glove box door and pull the old filter straight out, then slide the new one in. Takes about 10 minutes with no tools needed.

How often should I replace this filter?

Most drivers swap it every 12,000–15,000 miles or annually, depending on driving conditions. If you're in dusty or high-pollen areas, check it more often and replace sooner if it looks clogged.

Does this come with any mounting hardware?

The filter is pre-assembled and uses the factory retention clips in your Crosstrek's housing—no extra hardware needed. It seats directly into the OEM slot.

Products received may vary slightly from images due to manufacturing tolerances or supply chain variables.
