Do I need new hoses or a thermostat when I swap this in?
Hoses and thermostats are separate items — check their condition before installation. If your existing hoses show cracks or weeping, replace them. Thermostat condition is independent of radiator replacement.
Will this work with my current cooling system, or do I need to flush it first?
Flush your system before installation. Old coolant sediment can clog a new radiator and defeat the cooling upgrade. Fresh coolant ensures the new unit performs at spec.
What tools do I need to swap this myself?
Basic hand tools — wrenches, socket set, pliers — and a drain pan for coolant. You'll need to disconnect the upper and lower hose clamps and remove mounting bolts. Refer to your service manual for torque specs and coolant capacity.
