Do I need to remove the old visor to install this?
Yes. The old visor clips or screws out at the pivot point. Disconnect the vanity light wiring from the old unit, then install the new assembly in reverse order. Most people do this in 10 minutes with basic hand tools.
Will the vanity light work right away, or do I need to wire it?
The light harness connects to the factory wiring behind the visor. Plug and play — no splicing or additional wiring needed if the factory connector is still intact.
