What it does

Yellowed or cracked housings and failed bulbs are the usual reasons for new lights. Good lighting helps you see the road and helps other drivers see you; new assemblies also refresh a car whose lenses have faded or cracked.

Installation & tips

• Aim headlights after installing them so they do not dazzle other drivers.
• Bulbs: Check whether bulbs are included.
• Disconnect the battery before you unplug or splice any wiring, and test everything works before you refit trim panels.
